I have worked for Sense for over 14 years and have done a number of projects some of which include the Sense/BDA joint project "Usher in the Deaf Community", "Communication through Touch" in colloboration with Professor Bencie Woll and managed the one year BSL Access Project under the Government's BSL Initiatives.
At DCAL I am on part-time secondment from Sense. I am involved in helping to develop assessment tools for BSL and also on the Imaging the Deaf Brain project with specific focus on deaf people with Usher syndrome.
I hold NVQs at Level 4 in BSL and Learning and Development which is a training qualification.
