Dan Roberts

I completed my initial interpreting degree from the University of Wolverhampton, graduating in 2006, followed by my advanced interpreter training in 2009, to gain my full professional status, at the University of Central Lancashire. I undertook a part-time position as an in house interpreter at DCAL in May 2009, which led to commencement of a part-time MA in Applied Linguistics at Birkbeck College in September 2009.
In January 2011, I started a second part-time job working as a research assistant studying the effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation on sign language processing, working with Neil Fox, Gabriella Vigliocco and David Vinson in collaboration with Karen Emmorey and Joe Devlin.
My research interests lie in language processing, language production, interpreting and bilingualism and phonological variation in production styles.
