Interested in Language or Psychology Research?

Want to know more about what's involved?

The Deafness Cognition and Language (DCAL) Research Centre at University College London is looking for volunteer interns for all or part of the 2010-2011 academic year.

As an intern, you can learn first hand what is involved in conducting research in the areas of linguistics, psycholinguistics and language development in the context of deafness and sign language. You will gain valuable experience for a possible future (or current) research degree in these and/or related areas.

Preference will be given to those who have a degree (or are studying/planning to study for a degree) in linguistics, psychology or related areas. Deaf applicants are particularly welcome.  Those with a background or interest in sign language and/or sign language interpreting are also welcome.
Knowledge of some British Sign Language (BSL) is required (in some cases, further BSL training may be provided).

The internship may be full-time (minimum 2 weeks) or part-time (minimum 3 months), and hours are flexible.

You must be 18 or older to apply.

To apply, fill in the DCAL Intern Application Form and return either by email or post to:
